Hannon in 2010 released a solo album, "Gypsy Highway", which he described as "an acoustic collection of songs that are very close to my heart… sort of like autobiographical stories that I wrote and sang completely on my own with acoustic guitar. . . On [the CD], I wrote, sang and played all the instruments and it is definitely an 'acoustic'-type album that shares a lot of my roots and life experiences from the heart."
TESLA received the key to the city from Sacramento mayor Kevin Johnson on December 7, 2011 at the Sacramento Rock And Radio Museum.
Known as the originators of the "unplugged" craze of the '90s, TESLA launched the 20th-anniversary tour last fall of their legendary "Five Man Acoustical Jam" in full acoustic fashion in support of their latest album, "Twisted Wires And The Acoustic Sessions".
